EPH Services has completed a new 12kW Panasonic Aquarea air source heat pump installation in Home Hale, near Swaffham, Norfolk – paired with a 300-litre unvented cylinder and full underfloor heating for an efficient, whole-home renewable heating system.
This installation included a 12kW Panasonic Aquarea air source heat pump, a 300-litre unvented hot water cylinder and underfloor heating throughout the property. Every length of pipework was fully lagged (insulated), which keeps heat losses to a minimum, maintains efficiency and helps keep running costs down.
A heat pump paired with underfloor heating is an ideal combination. Underfloor heating runs at lower flow temperatures than radiators, which is exactly where a heat pump is most efficient – so the two work together to deliver gentle, even warmth across the whole home at the lowest possible running cost. The 300-litre cylinder ensures plenty of stored hot water for the household.
As MCS-registered installers, we design and fit Panasonic Aquarea and other leading heat pump systems across Norfolk. MCS registration also means installations qualify for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.
Can a heat pump run underfloor heating and hot water?
Yes – this system runs full underfloor heating and a 300-litre hot water cylinder from a single 12kW heat pump.
Why does pipework need lagging?
Insulating the pipework prevents heat loss, keeping the system efficient and running costs low.
What areas do you cover?
Home Hale, Swaffham, Dereham, Watton, Necton and across Norfolk.
