When this new customer in Attleborough called us out for a gas boiler service, we carried out a thorough strip-down of their Ideal Logic combi ESP1 35kW. This isn’t a quick visual inspection — it’s a detailed process that addresses the common issues these boilers can develop over time.

Our engineer removed the fan and cleaned the injector and venturi — critical if you’ve noticed a whistling noise from your Ideal Logic. We then removed the burner and brushed it carefully with a soft brush, cleaned the spark electrodes and ionisation probe with wire wool to remove any debris, and flushed out the heat exchanger. During our checks we discovered the expansion vessel had no pre-charge in it at all. This can cause pressure relief valve issues and lead to frequent pressure loss. We drained the boiler and recharged the expansion vessel to 1 bar, restoring the system to correct working pressure.
